In his youth, Dave sailed the high seas as a US Navy sailor. This experience gave him an appreciation for authority and a simultaneous disdain for it, fostering critical thinking skills. His diverse background also includes a stint as a professional mime at San Diego’s SeaWorld theme park, where he learned what humans look like while running in the opposite direction. Dave also spent a handful of years as a tour guide on double-deck buses in San Francisco; a gig that taught him how to frequently duck when approaching low-hanging tree branches.
